Meet summer vacation, YWCA Teenager Festival took place from 29 July to 1 August 2009 in the Olympic Parktel Seoul. The first session from 29 to 31 was the ‘Peace seminar’ for college student and second session from 30 July to 1 August was ‘Y-teen Youth Festival, Y-Style’. 

The YWCA Teenager Festival is an annual event organized by National YWCA of Korea to celebrate the leadership of young women and explore the issue affecting young women’s life. This year’s theme was Peace and Share.

In the first session, YWCA college students shared their experience on the peace movement with other students from other NGOs and YWCA of Hongkong members. They made an action plan and committed to the further action for making peace in the community as young activists. Y-teen participants from local YWCA networked each other and made a self mission for practicing sharing and peace making.
