YWCAs Joint Statement for Myanmar
The YWCAs, in the name of Lord Jesus Christ, strongly urges Myanmar’s military and police force to immediately stop its violence against civilians.
19-year-old Kyal Sin, also known as Angel, was killed by a shot to the head while fighting for her country’s democracy and protesting the military’s illegitimate use of force against its own people.
Even at this moment, many more “Angels” are risking their lives protesting
for peace and restoration of democracy.
We call for the Myanmar military and police to immediately stop its senseless killing and violence.
The YWCAs will stand by the people of Myanmar and fight against the military junta until democracy and peace is fully restored to the country.
